Job Description - Assembly Associate

FSLA: Non-Exempt
Schedule: Full time/8:00 am - 5pm Mon. - Fri.
Purpose:
Produces components by assembling parts and subassemblies as required.
Assembly Job Duties and Responsibilities
Assemble fittings, tubing, hoses, valves and other products by following drawings and instructions.
Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, drawings, and parts lists.
Inspects, adjusts, repairs, and tests products as necessary to meet customer requirements.
Gathers and positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.
Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications and/or notifying Q&M Coordinator or General Manager to obtain additional resources.
Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer’s instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs when required.
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Additional duties may include some warehouse shipping and receiving duties as required.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to read and interpret documents
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear
Ability stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to ten pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to fifty pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than one hundred pounds
Ability to use various hand tools such as wrenches, pliers, cutters, etc.
Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
Experience and ability using computer programs preferred
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
Three months or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
