Job Description - Inventory Analyst

Business Unit: Addison TX

Department: Materials

FSLA: Exempt

 

Purpose & Scope:

This position is responsible for analyzing data, analyzing sku and product group performance, identifying problems, and developing recommendations to deliver inventory planning efficiently. Works closely with retail, wholesale and ecommerce channels to determine inventory targets to align with purchasing and budget plans. This role effectively manages inventory levels to support sales, inventory plans, retail, Open-To-Buy and merchandise brand analysis.

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for inventory procurement management duties of Wilson Company products.
  2. Responsible for maintaining inventory level attributes/parameters at all locations to meetWilson Company’s high customer service level needs.
  3. Review inventory procurement reports for potential issues and implement resolutions.
  4. Analysis of sales trends, demands and forecasting.
  5. In-depth Data Analysis to maintain optimal raw material and finished goods performance.
  6. Ad Hoc Reporting.
  7. Develop and implement an excess and obsolete inventory process.
  8. Manage new product introductions for demand and supply questions.
  9. Coordinate special sales programs with sales department.
  10. Support customer service in inventory analysis and allocation to ensure customer service levels.

 

Qualifications, Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelors Degree in business management, finance, accounting or Industrial Engineering.
  • 2 years’ experience in Purchasing required.
  • MS Office, SQL Server 2010, SQL and Access database experience required.
  • Visual Basic preferred.
  • Industrial product knowledge preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of management.
  • Self-motivated and functions well in a team environment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to solve problems independently.
